A Resounding Success for the First Edition of the LCI Career Expo: A Day of Discoveries and Career Opportunities

The event brought together more than 250 participants, including students and alumni, all eager to explore fresh career and entrepreneurial opportunities.

Tunis, February 19, 2025 – The first-ever LCI Career Expo, an exciting new event hosted by LaSalle College Tunis, took place on February 19, 2025. The event brought together more than 250 participants, including students and alumni, all eager to explore fresh career and entrepreneurial opportunities. 

This event was a game-changer for many, giving participants the chance to connect with leading companies, industry experts, and valuable resources that can shape their professional and entrepreneurial paths. Throughout the day, attendees had access to inspiring conferences, hands-on workshops, recruiter meet-and-greets, and networking sessions, making it a one-of-a-kind experience. 

A Memorable Opening
The event kicked off with a heartfelt speech from the organizing team, with the presence of Her Excellency Mrs. Lorraine Diguer, Ambassador of Canada to Tunisia, and Mr. Aladin Legault d'Auteuil, Counselor at the Embassy. Their words emphasized the international collaboration and commitment to helping youth build brighter professional futures. 

Engaging Conferences and Workshops
Participants had the chance to attend some truly enriching sessions. One of the highlights was a conference by Helmi Abed, CEO and Founder of Nutriprotein, who shared insights on "Legal Structures: The First Step Toward Entrepreneurial Success." Another captivating panel explored artificial intelligence in the creative industries, featuring Mahmoud El Ghoul, Co-Founder of Régie RPMS and media L'Instant M, and Youssef Boufaied, Project Coordinator at TICDCE and CEO & Co-Founder of Herodot Studio. The conversation sparked deep discussions on the role of AI in artistic creation and the future of the industry. 

Connecting with Leading Companies
With over 15 companies present, the recruitment booths offered an incredible chance for participants to meet recruiters and learn about exciting internships and job openings in various fields. Some of the companies involved included HPE, Zitouna Bank, Tunisie Telecom, COMAR Assurances, L’Instant M, RPMS, Hi Interns Everience, Grep Sys, Groupe Yamama, Manpower Solutions, CCSAV, North Human Solutions, Supplyz Inventory, Dar El Marsa, and TICDCE. 

A Focus on Entrepreneurship and Innovation
The event also featured an Entrepreneurial Zone, brought to life by Dar Al Macharii by Attijari Bank. This space gave participants the opportunity to learn practical tools for launching and growing their own businesses. It was an inspiring space for young people ready to take the leap into entrepreneurship. 

Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Envers Fashion House
Another highlight of the day was a special conference marking the 30th anniversary of Envers, a renowned Canadian fashion house. Founder Yves Jean Lacasse shared his incredible journey, shedding light on how the fashion world has evolved over the years. Alongside him, fashion sociologist Dr. Amina Yagoubi Kurtin offered fascinating insights into the socio-cultural impact of fashion today. For fashion lovers and future designers, this was a truly inspiring moment. 

A Promising Start for an Annual Event
The first edition of the LCI Career Expo was an undeniable success, offering a perfect blend of recruitment, entrepreneurial inspiration, and a rich variety of experiences for all attendees. It deepened the connection between academia and the professional world while opening new doors for young talents. The organizing team is already looking forward to next year, with big plans to make this event a regular highlight for the professional and entrepreneurial communities.
